First Place Wood Deck 2425k 2450k was honored at the 2016 National Deck Competition Award Ceremony on October 6th, in Baltimore, Maryland. The competition is one of the highlights of the annual Deck Expo and Remodeling conference. This annual event showcases the finest examples of deck design, construction and craftsmanship from around the United States. accepted several national best awards, a first place for construction in wood, second place for lighting design and a national deck material manufacturer’s choice award. They were also awarded
second place for both best project overall and best alternative material design. For this year is the seventh consecutive winning year on the national level. They have reached this level of achievement and recognition due to imaginative artistry and resource selection, with a focus on function and detail.

This outdoor living design project is constructed in Ipe, a Brazilian hardwood. The deck is accented with custom powder coated aluminum rails. Details reflect the style of opulent hardwood interior finish carpentry. A rounded staircase descends to a ground level hardscape providing a base for the fire feature, flanked by planters and a retaining wall capped in bluestone. All the components of the complete design work to provide a tranquil retreat for the homeowner.
